Rich in Omega 3 & 6 (unlike cod liver oil)
Hemp seeds contain what is considered to be an optimal balance and ratio of 3:1 Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 3 oils are generally found in fish oils with a popular supplement being cod liver oil and Omega 6 is normally found in seeds, nuts and plant-based oils. Hemp seeds are one of the few foods that contain both, and as a result not only have health benefits associated with omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids but the balance between the two can contribute towards lowering cholesterol, immune system support, and metabolism control.
